Courtesy of Def Jam RecordingsFollowing the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, Grammy-nominated rapper Jeezy has donated 50,000 bottles of water to victims in Houston.

The city is currently experiencing a water crisis due to the hurricane.

According to a statement, Jeezy, who owns purified water company Defiance Fuel, sent two truckloads of water to Houston.

The truckloads arrived last Friday, and were distributed to local residents by Congresswoman Sheila Jackson and rapper Trae tha Truth.

Congresswoman Jackson also presented Jeezy with a Certificate of Congressional Recognition for his charitable contributions to Houston.

“I am praying for all those affected by the storm. Houston is one of my favorite cities and I will help those in need however I can at this time,” says Jeezy.
