GloRilla & Megan Thee Stallion’s ‘Wanna Be’ Surges After Cardi B Remix

GloRilla and Megan Thee Stallion’s “Wanna Be” jumps up the Billboard Hot 100 and other charts (dated June 15) after the first tracking week for the new Cardi B remix, released May 31. According to Luminate, “Wanna Be” had 19.7 million official U.S. streams in the May 31-June sixth tracking week, a 51 percent increase from the previous week and a 35 to 15 rise on the Streaming Songs list.  The track re-entered the Digital Song Sales list at number four after selling 13,000 downloads, up 6,210 percent. (On April 20, it debuted at Nos. 9 and 1.) Additionally, streaming and sales of “Wanna Be” in its original and remixed versions gave a boost to GloRilla’s “Ehhthang Ehhthang” album on the charts. The April release, which combines the original GloRilla and Megan Thee Stallion versions, climbed from 47 to 23 on the all-genre Billboard 200 with 23,000 equivalent album units May 31-June 6, up 35 percent from the previous week.
