ABC/Heidi GutmanAccording to Gucci Mane, Monday marks National Guwop Day, otherwise known as the “I Get the Bag” rapper’s birthday.
But the 38-year-old has even more to celebrate, including the development of his very own biopic, which will based on his book, The Autobiography of Gucci Mane.
Variety reports that Paramount Pictures and Imagine Entertainment “have obtained life rights and movie rights” to The Autobiography of Gucci Mane.
Howard and Grazer won the Best Picture Oscar in 2002 for the biographical drama A Beautiful Mind, and are both responsible for producing movies including Frost/Nixon, Cinderella Man, The Missing and The Da Vinci Code.
As previously noted, Gucci Mane tweeted in January that his biopic would be be “coming to a theatre near you” and suggested that he was directing it.
He also tweeted in December about plans to make a movie based on his album El Gato: The Human Glacier.
“I’m gone make a movie about #ElGatoTheHumanGlacier so consider the 12 songs as my first screenplay,” he wrote.
