TLC fans don’t want no scrubs…or lip-synching

ABC RadioWith the forthcoming release of their final album, the legendary R&B group TLC has begun their highly-anticipated return to the stage.

However, many fans were up in arms Wednesday night after witnessing Chili and T-Boz‘s Live at the London Palladium appearance on U.K. television station ITV, claiming on social media that the duo lip-synched their way through the performance.

One Twitter user wrote, “Some quality miming from #TLC on London Palladium,” while another fan tweeted, “Love TLC! Shame they miming tho..”

“TLC it’s not the 90’s anymore you can stop miming #londonpalladium,” tweeted another.

As of early Thursday afternoon, there was no comment from TLC on the accusations.

TLC’s last album will be the group’s first release since third member Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes was killed in a car accident in 2002. It arrives everywhere June 30.
