WHAT: Famously Hot New Year is South Carolina’s free virtual party of the year—bringing together friends, neighbors and guests from near and far for a virtual celebration on New Year’sEve from 10:30 p.m.–12:15 a.m. The event will feature fresh new performances by past Famously Hot New Year artists like Sister Hazel, toasts from celebrities with South Carolina roots, a virtual headlining performance by hip-hop icons Arrested Development, and a special appearance by Hootie & the Blowfish. Although this year’s celebration will be virtual, for the past decade, Famously Hot New Year has grown to become South Carolina’s largest New Year’s Eve celebration with a free, evening-length concert by a national headliner and the biggest NYE fireworks display in South Carolina.
