Fantasia Goes Back to the ’90s for “When I Met You”

ABC/Fred WatkinsFantasia‘s music video for her single “When I Met You” features none other than her daughter Zion singing along to her mother’s lyrics.

Visually, the Derek Blanks-directed clip is a throwback to the ’90s, and tells a story about finding true love after experiencing a string of bad relationships.

In the video, Fantasia plays the teenage version of herself, wearing a choker, hoop earrings and a plaid shirt inspired by the era.

The singer’s husband, Kendall Taylor, also stars in the video. Kendall and Tasia renewed their vows last Christmas and a scene of both in front of a wedding altar is also shown in the new video.

“When I Met You” can be heard on Tasia’s latest album, The Definition Of… .
