Offset weighs in on the government shutdown: “That’s some slave s***”
ABC/Randy HolmesOffset seems to have taken a page out of Cardi B‘s Politics 101 handbook, as he joins her in criticizing Donald Trump for the current government shutdown.
In a new interview with Esquire, the Migos front man chided the president and shared a few political views of his own.
“Seeing people talk about how they can’t pay their bills but they have to work — that’s some slave s***,” the “Walk It, Talk It” rapper commented.
He continued, “I don’t really get into it politics because I’m usually on the other side of it. There’s black mothers with jobs, and now you take their jobs away.”
“And then the president, I don’t really want to speak on him, but he’s rich. He’s rich and has these folks struggling.”
Despite being in album mode and gracing the runways of Paris Fashion Week, Offset noted that he would be remiss if he didn’t comment on something that affects the country as a whole.
“We’re going through a f***** up time,” he added. “Both sides. Black and the white. You know why? The government shutdown. Black people aren’t working, white folks aren’t working. It’s everybody.”
