Year of the “Scorpion”: Drake is Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Artist of 2018

Republic Records2018 has been the year of the ScorpionBillboard has named Drake the top R&B/Hip-Hop Artist for the fourth straight year.

This is the fifth time in his career that Drake has claimed this honor, following wins in 2012, 2015, 2016 and 2017 — that’s more than any other artist. In addition, his Scorpion album is the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Album of the Year, following his previous albums of the year Take Care in 2012, If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late in 2015, and Views in 2016.

The Toronto rapper also has the number-one R&B/Hip-Hop song of 2018, “God’s Plan,” which held the top spot on the chart for eleven consecutive weeks. Drake has two more songs on the year-end chart: “In My Feelings” at number three, and “Nice for What” at number five.
